Eligibility criteria/What are we looking for?

All early-stage founders developing tools and services for biotechnology, biomedicine, cell biology, molecular biology, genetics and biochemistry are encouraged to apply. Acceptance into the BioTools Innovator accelerator is based on the stage of the startup, with preference for companies that have not yet raised a Series B or established a significant strategic partnership.

Preferably, applicants will have prototypes and some proof of concept evidence, as well as the funds available / runway remaining to execute on current milestones. Founders that have developed an applicable technology, but have not yet formed a company, may still apply. However, they must be incorporated as a company before the start of the Accelerator program.

Companies that are accepted to the program must commit a co-founder, CEO, or appropriate senior member of their leadership team to participate in the four-month virtual accelerator program and be present for the Showcase and Finals in October.
